• Describe the technique required to produce open V-groove welds in the 1G and 2G positions.

Performance Tasks

Performance Task 1 (Learning Objective 2) • Make open V-groove welds with E6010 and E7018 electrodes in the following positions:

• Flat (1G) position
• Horizontal (2G) position
• Vertical (3G) position
• Overhead (4G) position
